“Supermarket Flowers” – Ed Sheeran

So simple, so quaint, so serene. This is a song Ed Sheeran wrote about losing his grandmother. He wrote it from the perspective of his mother and it’s a really beautiful and heartfelt song. The second time the chorus comes in is just so beautiful. He sounds like he’s being accompanied by a choir in the background. Its very fitting for the song as it gives off a sense of divine intervention taking over or appearing in that moment. It is all so beautifully, somber.
