Angry Kendrick rapping over a Mike-Will beat is like Christmas coming way early. Kendrick is definitely putting the game on notice with this track, figuratively and literally. By calling on his opponents to sit down and be humble, Kendrick has put the game on notice and has all hip-hop fans holding their collective breath for April 7th to come. That’s when Kendrick’s new album is dropping. The song itself is very much a Mike-Will production. You could envision Rae Sremmurd rapping over a beat like this, but we’re so lucky to see Kendrick in their place. It’s a very southern sound and frankly has some mannerisms of southern rap with the smooth yet aggressive gesturing, thinking of T.I.’s I’m A King. We also have to talk a little about the amazing music video. It was so creative, edgy and BLACK. Dope all-round!
