Bad-ass! This song just has so much attitude and presence. There is a feeling of cool, controlled aggression that manifests itself throughout the songs and at times it boils enough to punch you right in the face. The intro with Richie Havens is almost the perfect setup for this rope-a-dope because by the end of the song you’ve just been put through a sonic rollercoaster. Listening to this makes me feel like Portugal. The Man would have thrived in the 60s and 70s. This is so dope!
