Frank Ocean has been pretty elusive since his most recent studio album Blonde dropped last summer, but his appearances on the festival circuit this year has reminded us that #FluidBae (thanks, Issa Rae) is as hot as ever. Pink + White, the third track on Blonde, iterates on Ocean’s iconic mellow-hype vibe. The combination of a cool and raw drum set beat, Ocean’s riverlike vocals, mysterious lyrics, and just a ribbon of Bey woven through the track makes Pink + White a song that is as good the 50th time you hear it as it is the first. Here’s to hoping we don’t have to count too many listens (or at least not another four years) before Ocean’s next album drops.
