“When I look at the mirror, I know what I see/ You peasants don’t deserve my presence” is my mood listening to this song and is my mood forever. Obviously joking about the second part of that statement, but this song makes me feel something. Its tough, its street, its gritty and its savvy. Good art makes the observer relate to the themes of it. This song is dope as hell because I feel like a bad man listening to it.
In terms of theme, I love the underlying metaphor that is subtly placed within the lyrics. In this song, you have two of the best dope rap rappers in hip-hop. With King Push and Kiss, you know you’re gonna get some drug references. In the bridge, before each verse, they both talk about looking in the mirror. A mirror is a main part of the Snow White story. Guess what Snow is a euphemism for in hip-hop? YEP!!!!!
