If you’re into Florence and The Machine and London Grammar and that style of singing and instrumentation, you will be very much into Kacy Hill. Kacy has that same ability to powerfully carry a tune like the front-women of those two groups. She can also send chills down your spine in the same way they can with her voice. The background instrumentation also plays a big role in that.
The sound editing in this track is something I absolutely adore about it. The way that the drums come in at 0:40 is actually kind of epic. It feels like its almost the same sound effect used in a big cinematic production of Godzilla when the earth rumbles after it takes a step during a silent scene where the city is deserted. The way that the sound goes quiet and the drums reverberate. It’s truly bone-tingling, as is this song and the rest of Kacy’s fantastic album.
